Unlocking the Power of Mindfulness and Yoga for Kids
What schools and nurseries had to say about our classes:

"At our nursery we were fortunate to have Bansi offer yoga sessions to both our children and parents. The children really enjoyed the opportunity to have a moment of calm in their busy nursery day learning relaxation techniques to support their well being. For the parents that joined their children in these sessions it was an opportunity for them to bond with their child. Bansi engaged the children through using imaginative story telling in an inclusive way. Bansi ensured that the sessions were accessible to all with her kind and caring approach. The skills the children have learned through doing yoga have helped to promote their mental health. Bansi has inspired us to include yoga practice into our everyday nursery routines - Thank You"
Corinne Hurd, Assistant Head, BEYA - Barnet Early Years Alliance

" Before Bansi started we had no yoga provision at Monkfrith. We had been looking for a club that encouraged a positive, calm and mindful approach for a little while but had not found anything we were happy with. Her sessions are well run and popular with a range of children across school. They love it! Our club is in the morning and it is such a lovely way for children to start their day. They come into class focused and ready to learn. Bansi is really easy to work with; she is reliable and organised and, most importantly, has a fantastic way with the children."
Jude Deasey, Headteacher at Monkfrith School

"We are so very grateful to Bansi for coming into Foundation Stage and Year One on a weekly basis. The children thoroughly enjoy their sessions with her and always return with a technique to share with the rest of the class. Having Bansi around has been a blessing because the sessions are fun whilst also developing the children’s inner peace/calm and stillness. Bansi has a lovely way about her and the way she relates to the children, which in turn helps and supports the children’s well-being (something we are all really supporting).
During her time with us she has actively spoken to the class teachers to find out which topics they are covering and has tried her best to incorporate these themes in the yoga sessions.
Thank you Bansi for all your time and work with us!"
Elena Toumazou, Assistant Headteacher (Foundation Stage & KS1), Danegrove School

"Bansi is an asset to our school clubs and the children have loved doing her Yoga classes. It starts the children’s day off so positively and we have found that the children who take part have a better day and are able to focus better with their work. Bansi is really professional and all the children love her. This has been our first Yoga club and we had a great response from the parents and had a good number of children sign up. We will definitely continue use her for the foreseeable. Thank you Bansi."
Stephanie Batt, Family Support Worker at Northside Primary School, Finchley

"I can recommend Bansi wholeheartedly. Bansi has been teaching Yoga for a number of years at Danegrove. She runs afternoon and lunchtime clubs and leads whole class sessions. Bansi taught our year 6 classes prior to the lockdown in readiness for their SATs. The children found this really helpful and used the techniques taught to calm their thinking. Parents are always extremely positive about Bansi's sessions and the noticeable positive strategies taught and used by their children. Bansi's manner with staff and the children is perfect and her discipline very good."
Deborah Metcalf, Headteacher at Danegrove Primary School, East Barnet

What you had to say about our Zoom Classes!

"My daughter loved attending weekly classes after school and moving online has been brilliant. Bansi has helped to provide connection, calm and normality to her in these strangest of times and she looks forward to classes through the week."
Elin (Poppy's Mum)

"Bansi's classes are so wonderful. I've been doing yoga for years and my little one has done cosmic kids for a long time, and I have to say I way prefer doing Bansi's classes with her 🙂 - they are really nicely paced, flow in a way that allows for mindfulness, and have really prompted my little one to think about things in the few days afterwards, especially eating things she likes more mindfully! totally recommend."
Hannah (Mum to Maya)

"I would highly recommend Bansi's classes. She has a great way of engaging children by using story telling to help them develop their yoga skills. Every class is different & they learn lots. The children love her relaxed, engaging & fun style too"
Anna (Mum to Holly and Louise)

"I have loved doing this wonderful class with my son Eduardo. Bansi's class is so family friendly, engaging the children with stories and actions while accompanying adults are challenged by the poses. I love the relaxing moment and cuddles I get throughout the class and the peaceful winding down at the end! I hope Eduardo will enjoy this after lock down alongside his friends when they return to school."
Catherine (Mum to Eduardo)

"We have been doing Bansi's classes with my daughters (7 and 5) for a while now, first in person and now over Zoom under the current social distancing circumstances. We love them! The classes are so imaginative and engaging, combining lovely stories with fun yoga and focusing always on family bonding. I particularly value the mindfulness and growth mindset values that Bansi's classes centre on. Thank you always!"
Elli (Mum to Eleni and Maria)

"Strongly recommending these kids yoga and mindfulness online classes enough! ⭐️We’ve been to Bansi’s family and kids workshops around North London before lockdown. They were all amazing. ⭐️Bansi is so skilled in engaging with the kids and she comes up with the best yoga move stories and themes. ⭐️Last week we did Star Wars! I’ve also booked Bansi to host an online yoga play date for my daughters and their close friends (4 & 7 year old crews!). ⭐️It’s lovely how Bansi also engages with the kids via Zoom. ⭐️My girls love her yoga sessions and so do I as I also get to have some chill time, a good stretch and meditate for a bit!"
Sunita (Mum to Jasmine and Maya)

"My son and daughter (aged six and eight) love Bansi's classes. I'd highly recommend them for everyone! My children are calmer and more relaxed afterwards. I also think the mindfulness element is particularly valuable and much needed in these times. Thank you Bansi for all your hard work and commitment to the classes."
Kiran (Mum to Milin and Jasmin)

What you said about our weekly and family classes

"Yoga for teens- what a fantastic idea! My daughter has been participating in Bansi's weekly yoga classes on Zoom since January and she will make sure she is home in time from school to get on the mat. Not only is she benefitting from the flexibility but it is excellent for her well-being. She likes to perform meditations and affirmations as well as traditional poses.
One day she came home with shoulder pain from her posture with a heavy bag; instead of skipping the yoga session she found it really helped her remove the pain! There is always something to gain from time on the mat. I highly recommend Bansi and yoga for teenagers and children.

"Bansi's yoga and mindfulness classes have been the highlight of my children's school week for the past couple of years. She is super focused on each child and when my son was low on confidence and was having a hard time at school, she took the time to phone me and consult me on the best possible way we can help him.
Highly recommended!!! ❤"

"I have known Bansi for a couple of years now and her work with children’s mindfulness and yoga classes is amazing. She is also creative and her classes always receive positive feedback from parents and carers."
Sunita Harley

"I attended the Lotus Clouds Family workshop with my 7 year old daughter and I have to say it was brilliant. We both had such a positive and enjoyable experience doing yoga and mindfulness as it was made fun and interesting through the story telling element. There were other families of course but I also felt like it was a bonding session with my daughter. Through physical touch and communication and laughter we came away feeling really positive and close to each other. We both said we were looking forward to the next session and I have recommended it to my friends. I also think it's great for kids who are going through difficulties. The worry box was a great way of opening up dialogue now, in the future or just for the child to have for themselves. I would highly recommend Lotus Clouds !!!"
Deborah Rosenberg

"Such a positive and empowering class. My daughter has benefited greatly from the sessions and looks forward to them each week. Bansi is a fantastic teacher and always comes up with new and interesting activities which engage the kids. We especially love the affirmations and have adopted them at home. "
Emma Gilbert

"My daughter has been going to Bansi’s yoga classes for the last 6 months. My daughter is a naturally shy 5 year old but her confidence has grown and I’m sure this is due to attending Bansi’s class. My daughter has a great time at her yoga classes. She’s learning new yoga moves each week and loves the arts and crafts time. It’s amazing how Bansi is also teaching the kids positive ways of thinking as this is a handy skill for kids when they start school too "
Sunita

“ My six year old daughter has been going to Bansi’s yoga classes for a couple of months now. She absolutely loves them and looks forward to it at the start of the week. With the pressures of school and an active week, it’s a perfect class to offer balance. I love her learning yoga poses and movement but also the sentiment and focus of the classes such as gratitude."
Laura

"H really is enjoying the classes and we have noticed he seems more focused and concentrates more. The past week we had noticed H was not himself (lacking a bit of self confidence and emotional). When I picked him up after this weeks class (‘I like myself just the way I am’ task) he was so relaxed and calm and these past few days his confidence has improved and he just seems calmer not so anxious about things."
Carol

"The children and I really enjoyed the workshop. It was lovely to have some time out together to do yoga in a fun and engaging way for the children. Being a dance teacher , I appreciate the time it would have taken to plan and design the lesson and I liked the balance between the postures we did by ourselves and those we did together. The group size was perfect too, not too big and you learnt each child’s name and tried to involve them all/give them all a chance with questions and demonstrations. The creative session was excellent too, teaching the kids to focus and also use their own individual imagination.
My three kids all want to come again so whilst we can’t do the next one, I will definitely be keeping an eye open for forthcoming dates. Thank you for helping my children love and enjoy yoga."
Rakhee Haria (after attending Family Workshop)

"Such a brilliant workshop. We absolutely loved it, thank you"
Laura Phillips (after attending the " Under the Sea" Family Workshop)

"Elida thinks the class is amazing, she always comes home on Mondays full of excitement telling us and showing us what she's done in yoga. She's even taught us mindful eating! We are all learning and i think it's giving her some really helpful tools and ways of being that will boost her resilience and confidence in life going forward, so a huge thank you from us!"
Stella Rranxi

"Interactive, child friendly class in a very relaxed environment. We all loved it!"
Sashe, Sacha and Isabella (aged 4yrs)
